Hi all

I have a signature of R.N.L.I. on a forum I use. It doesn't show up on my computer but does show on other member computers on the site. I am using I.E.9 and possibly ungraded up to I.E.11 by mistake thinking that would clear the problem but didn't. Also I done a reset and anything else I could think of but still not showing the image.Also notice if I enable AGV toolbar it works and disable the toolbar it doesn't. Installed Firefox and it works on my and other forum members computers. no problem with this browser. I am on Windows 7 using Dell Inspiron laptop I tried to delete I.E. browsers but could not find then on the programmes list to uninstall. I went further into the computer found the internet files but required permission to have then delete from a company I've never heard of. I think these files are in bedded in the HDD unlike the old way of on a disc.

Any help appreciated

Hi seaspray.

 

Please don't try to manually delete program files unless you are absolutely positive you know what you are doing.

 

IE is integrated into the Windows operating system so it's not wise to attemp to uninstall or delete the installed files.

Can you elaborate on this further? What were the files and what was the name of the company?

Have you tried uninstalling the toolbar?

The permission to delete Internet Explorer is needed from TrustInstaller and the route to it is. Compute >OS(C: ) > Programme Files. From the list of files I tied to delete Internet Explorer. I think all the computer files are here in this folder. I also had the idea that I.E. is part of the system put in on the HDDs before assembled into machines at software loading. I keep all deleted file in the recycle bin till I am sure their deletion is not going to affect the operation of the computer.

 

Another problem I've noticed is.. If I do I Google search from my homepage BBC.CO.UK And click on the web site from that search. If I then use the back space button ( top of page on left side (not the backspace button on keyboard) to get back to the Google search page. It is blank so is the tab.

 

AVG toolbar has been uninstalled completely still the image isn't appearing

 

I will be uninstalling AGV Security and reinstalling it to see if that will solve the problem.

Uninstalled AGV but with no joy. Will continue to try and find problem. I think something is disabled on my browser
