[Solved] Youtube advice please

I watch video clips mostly vis Youtube because videos viewed via Google video search seem more prone to harbouring virus or malware I now just don't use Google because I'm too worried about malware etc( I got hit with ransomeware some time back via a Google video clip)

Anyway the advice I need please is how do I set up the home page Youtube to something I want when I go to Youtube via my Youtube desk top icon? It used to be a music video but now when I start up Youtube via the desk top icon I get an annoying video which I can't get rid of.

HI Ray.

 

I think this is the answer that you are after.

 

Go onto your Desktop, Right click a blank spare on there, Click New > Shortcut. It will then ask you for the path of what you would like to shortcut. Copy and paste the Website address in there Including the Http:// part for example

 

http://HTTP://www.youtube.com

 

Click Next> Give the Shortcut a Name> Click Done.

 

Then you should have a new Shortcut for the website you would like to go on, on your desktop.

Thanks for the information Armageddon. I dont have an iphone so apps are not of help and I have now sorted out the problem thanks to Seedy.

Hi Ray I don't have a Iphone either , minitube is available for windows mac and Linux and is a fully fledged desktop application , am glad your problems solved though
