Hey guys, I have had this headset for some time and now I got a new pc. Anyways I got it hooked up via its optical cord. I have tried moving the USB's into other slots, results in fail. Nothing changes. I now got my optical in and the USB for power. (Which the setup is meant to be.) So lemme get started.

1. The mic selected is my tritton headset, the mic I need and want to use.

2. The problem is though, there is no enhancements I can add to this mic I am using, so it dosnt get any background noise or anything. All it has is Custom with AGC which I need to be on so people can I hear me. Levels dosn't even have the "Boost" option on.

3. This is a mic I have had for ages, plugged into the same soundcard. This mic option is still here when this old mic is unplugged, just it wouldn't make any noise for my trittons.

4. As you can see, this mic has all the options, but I cannot get these options for my trittons mic. I had these options before, not sure how but I think it's something to do with the setup. If anyone can help, lemme know.

Hi Aldaz, when you installed the headset on your old computer did it come with a drivers disk?

If so have you used that disk on the new computer?

It looks at the moment as though Windows has set up its own generic drivers only, whereas the Tritton drivers will give more options.

If you don't have the disk, you should be able to download the appropriate driver from here :-

Let us know how you get on,

I got the AX Pro Headset, I downloaded the drivers and then when it was starting to install came up with "Please plug in usb multi audio device". I plugged in the usb version of the setup as well as optical and tried and it still said the same thing, :S

Hi, are you hearing feed back coming from your main speakers? is that what you mean by the screech and static noises?

If so, in the microphone properties box, click the "Listen" tab, if there is a tick in the box for "Listen to this device" try removing the tick. That disconnects it from the speakers and therefore removes feed back. the microphone and headset should still work with other programs, Skype as an example.

Yea', I get static while I hear myself. I also disscounted it from skype and other programs and it still dosn't work. The "Please plug in multi usb audio device" keeps coming up while trying to install the tritton ax pro driver.

Hi, a few questions first,

The computer it used to work OK on, what was the operating system on it, and the computer you are now trying to get to work with, what is the operating system on that?

Did you look for and make sure the Listen tick box has no tick in it?

If you can answer those first, I will possiblt know better what to look at next.

Hi, Being an older head set, no doubt originally made for XP, I am wondering if it is just not fully compatible with Windows 7.

However one last thing to try as windows own drivers may be conflicting,

Firstly make sure the headset is disconnected, then click start and type in the search bar, "Device Manager", then click on Device manager at the top.

When the manager window opens, look for "Sound, video, and games controllers" Click the small arrow on the left, hopefully you should see your headset so double click on that, in the next window click the drivers tab then the uninstall button.

May be best to reboot the computer to make sure the drivers are removed, and then go back to that drivers window to make sure it isn't there in any form. Also a check via the Control Panel, and check in Programs and Features to see if it is also there, if so uninstall it there too.

Next is to reinstall the drivers you downloaded, and when it prompts you, connect the headset.

Let us know if that helps.

Any one else is welcome if they have more idea's.

Hi Aldaz, I am sorry, we tried our best and the only conclusion is that for whatever reason, it just isn't compatible with your Windows 7 operating system.

I can only suggest a new headset and microphone..

It was working before, just instead of coming up as "Triton ax pro" it was coming up as "USB". I just want something so I can adjust the boost of my headsets mic. Because it's picking up background noise. Is there any kind of program which could help?

Hi, I don't know of any software that can do that directly, the only reasonable free sound handling software which is really meant for recording sound is Audacity, it may be worth looking into though perhaps and you can download it from here :-

http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

Otherwise, a more up to date headset isn't expensive.

Already got Audicity. The thing is though, the Triton AX Pro isn't a old headset, I got the updated version. I'll get back to you if I come across something which could possible fix my situation .

Alright, I found that in my devices my Tritton headset is in "Unspecified" devices. Would this be the cause of my problem of not getting my Enhancement tab?
Posted

Hi, it's saying unspecified because Windows cannot recognise it properly. The only thing I can say now is to try to get in touch with the manufacturer of the headset, explain the problem and ask if they have an install disk for it, there may be a small charge for it including any postage if they do have one.
