acer with windows 7 problem

Hi have a acer aspire 5732z running windows 7

i did a system restore and since then computer has been showing error messages. Now wont boot up at all i get a message to reinstall installation disk but did not get a disc when i purchased the computer (which was purchased from new) computer status is 0xc000000f any help greatly apprieciated

0xc000000f error - did this also say "Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem: ..... " ?

 

Have you removed any devices that are connected to USB ports ?

Have you checked that there is not a CD left in the tray ?

 

Can you get to the Advanced Startup Options ?

Click F8 about once per second after switching on.

If you can - use the "Last Known Good Configuration" option.

 

Failing that - will it start up in Safe Mode ( from the list of options after tapping F8 ) ?

computer won't boot up in 'last known good configuration mode ' or 'safe mode ' message on boot manager screen also says windows tried to load because the NLS data is missing or corrupt. I also tried to boot from flash drive with hit man pro but not sure if i had the right program on the flash drive any more ideas as I am out of them !!

If you can get to the Start-up Options is "Repair your Computer" there?

If so - give that a try.

If it asks for an installation disk we are running out of options.

I think I have major problems will have to take it to be repaired my Fujitsu is also coming up with same errors and shows no hard disk installed so suspect I have a trogon. Had Avg on both computers and only think I did on both was google search ,o

On line game on aol ,and possibly Facebook so just be warned any one out there!!!!

There is an option to

a) scan the hard drive with an external Anti-Virus

or

b) do a complete reinstall

 

With Win7 there is an option to download the Operating System ( free ) and reinstall.

 

It may be worth trying the above before you pay out for repairs.

Have got nothing to down load any thing on both laptops corrupted posting this on iPhone bad day dare not use wife's ipad any ideas!!!

Could you ask a friend / relative to d/l for you ?

 

A re-install is probably your best bet.

Although ...

errors and shows no hard disk installed

is a bit worrying.

 

What exactly does this error message say ?
