My email has been running fine for a long time now however of late I find the following,

On opening Outlook it opens with a blank page and indicates that it is loading this can take what appears to be an age but in fact is about 2mins.

When it does load it only loads the previous emails ! then just sits there.

When I close Outlook it gets halfway through this then starts to load any NEW emails, hence I have to restart the process again.

Any thoughts please.

Thanking you.----- I have ran malwarebytes, ccleaner, and my AVG ect to no avail.

While waiting for a better answer have you tried signing out and signing back in again.

Are you using a bookmark for Outlook, if so delete it and make a new one after re-signing in.

I have never had to sign in to Outlook either.

You are talking about the full Microsoft Outlook and not Outlook Express are you?

There maybe a corrupt file or some other problem with your version of Outlook. (you didn't say which version you are running)

This link will explain how to repair your 'Office' programs.

Hi, I am running Microsoft Office outlook--2007. I may reinstall ? as I have looked at settings ect to no avail. The only downloads of late have been Adobe Flash player for a programme that we use for the grandchildren--SUMDOG, this ran ok then requested a new Flash player but that did not work either.

Hi I ran this but it came back something like, expected version of the product was not found on the system, I have completed a restore to a previous date, ran a repair, removed updates and re installed all to no avail. The rest of the office suite runs fine as did this until a couple of weeks ago.

Will just put up with it for the moment. Many thanks.

Hi Grandad, I can't help with the Outlook as I don't have any Microsoft Office stuff and use Open Office and Kingsoft Office. Because of that I use the other Microsoft alternative which is the Windows Live mail. Just wondering if a change over to Windows Live mail might be a work round for you.

That update didn't relate to the problem you are having Grandad.

If you don't want to go the re-install route... this may be the best option for you.

A full re-install will remove any accounts you have set up anyway.

Another option would be to check on the Microsoft Office forums.

The specific 'Outlook' forum is:
