restore files

Help! I am running windows 7 home premium on h p dv6 notebook

I did a full restore and backed up my files on external h/drive, i have sent backup to drive c and can get up file list but cannot open to view or send them back to original location ie(pictures) any help would be gratefully recieved

Do you get an error message ?

 

I suspect that you may need to take ownership of the files / folders.

Take a look at this link ..... it is by far the easiest way to do this - click here

 

Once installed all you do is right click on the file / folder and click on the "Take Ownership" option.

Hopefully you should then be able to open the file.
