Using an HP photosmart 5520 set up and been working fine for a few months, suddenly stopped comes up as offline there my expertise ends greatful for any help thx.

Hi how is the printer connected?

Is it cable or wireless?

If wireless check that all wireless settings are correct, and if possible turn the wireless off and connect by cable to check it works with cable.

 

If already connected by cable check connections and if it seems OK then try another cable.

Sorry been away on holiday, printer will print from AOL and photoshop from wireless or cable, but not from photo viewer

Have you recently upgraded to Windows 10? I have my own printer problem ATM (not related to Windows 10) But I have seen on HP problems shooting/ solutions that there have been printer problems for some folk with HP printers who have moved up to Windows 10
