Slumdog Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Hi, the only option I have when trying to connect to a network is my T-Mobile dongle option. All of the Wi-Fi options have mysteriously disappeared. This has happened after I got this error message.......! Failed to connect to a Windows service. Windows could not connect to the system event notification service. I think I have got by the windows service problem but cannot tell until I can connect to internet. Thanks for any help. G Quote
Slumdog Posted May 14, 2014 Author Posted May 14, 2014 ok, in network connections on the control panel, the LAN or high speed internet option says disabled; when I enable it, it says in the pop up box enabled, but it isn't enabled on the network connections screen. Quote
Slumdog Posted May 14, 2014 Author Posted May 14, 2014 Problem solved, I think! Run system restore back to a week ago and it seems to have worked. I would like to know why this happened if anyone knows? Quote
