Firefox crashes or stops working.

This is only to find out if others are having problems with Firefox, as I have already had several verbal reports from other folks I know who are also suffering the Windows message "Firefox has stopped working" or a full crash with the Firefox window opening with the standard "We are sorry that Firefox has crashed, would you like to send a report"

Other folk are also reporting that firefox comes up with a message that "there are two instances of Firefox working in the background" or other odd messages.

 

Anyone else seeing this or similar behaviour from version 29.0.1 ?

 

Also has anyone seen any reports either from Mozilla or other sources?

Oh yes.

I had read about problems with the version 29, but didn't take much notice until mine updated.

After 2 days i moved over to 'Pale Moon' browser as i was fed up with the freezing and crashing of Firefox.

Strange thing is, my wife is still running her old XP system and hasn't had any problems with the new version of Firefox.

I get this message at least twice a day "Firefox has stopped working"

No reason I can find as yet what is causing this message. I go into Task Manager and kill one of the Firefox processors and all is good again. A PITB.

I installed Firefox 30 and seems very stable.

Yesterday with 29.01 every video I opened it said the Firefox plug in wasn't working.I uninstalled and reinstalled the plug in without success.

 

I installed Firefox 30 and testing. Plugin works again and running like a dream at the moment after many hours.

 

No more Pop ups and not one hitch to date.

Firefox version 30 is now mainstream. Earlier this morning I checked for updates and was rewarded with the download and install. I then went out for the rest of the day, however we will see how it goes on from now.
