Hi to all,

I finally got me a tablet (Dell Venue 7),I am learning how to use it . One problem I am having is it says it doesn’t have gps hardware on it. It has Google Maps and I can type in a destination and it shows a route and all, then a message comes up and says it doesn’t have gps hardware. I would appreciate any help, thanks in advance.

Hi Jimmy

perhaps return this thing and get a Samsung Galaxy like my grandkids have.

Or do what i did..... couldn't decide on a new phone or a tablet,

So got a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 ....... best of both worlds.

Any bigger and it would be a tablet :)

I called Dell tech support and they couldn’t help, is it possible that I could download GPS software/hardware to a sd card and put it on this tablet?

Considering that it has Google Maps and Bluetooth why would they not put GPS software/hardware on the tablet? It also has a slot for microSD

Hi, I am no expert on these tablet devices, however I did find two possible answers to try on the Dell forums,

This second one may have something useful with a mention of a test download, have a look here too.
