Guitarman Posted September 6, 2014 Author Posted September 6, 2014 You are basically correct however the place I installed all those other programs was actually an internal hard drive within my computer which I use to store data on as my SSD is very small! The external hard drive I only use for backing things up to and that is where my system image backup is stored... I am certain that before programs from both my SSD and internal hard drive were visible but I don't actually have any programs installed on my hard drive! However last windows update my external hard drive was pluged in and turned on so whether it has some requiered files on it I am unsure? First I will run revo Uninstaller and then Im going to try rebooting with my external hard drive turned on to see if that makes any difference at all! Quote
Guitarman Posted September 6, 2014 Author Posted September 6, 2014 That's an image showing that they both pick up exactly the same thing... It's such a strange problem I've never known anything quite like it Quote
Guitarman Posted September 6, 2014 Author Posted September 6, 2014 Sorry thats such poor quality I dont know why! Quote
Guitarman Posted September 6, 2014 Author Posted September 6, 2014 Well I tried restarting with my external hard drive turned on but nothing changed! Control panel is just the same! I have even tried running some benchmarks and my computer is performing just as it always has! Do you think I should leave it and just keep looking for a solution because I feel bad to be wasting your time when nothing seems to fix it! I just don't know what else there is to try unless there is a way to refresh the programs list Quote
Guitarman Posted September 6, 2014 Author Posted September 6, 2014 Programs still uninstall perfectly fine aswell! Quote
Guitarman Posted September 6, 2014 Author Posted September 6, 2014 Ccleaner uninstaller picks up most of my programs but not quite all! Still more than windows is seeing Quote

Guitarman Posted September 6, 2014 Author Posted September 6, 2014 Thought this may be interesting That's what has been installed since the problem started... Do you thing it could have something to do with the Microsoft redistributable files? Quote
Guitarman Posted September 6, 2014 Author Posted September 6, 2014 Sorry to spam my own question but I can also change my default programs to programs that uninstall a program doesnt pick up! Suggesting windows sees the programs fine but not their uninstallers!? Quote
KenB Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 I'm at a loss as to what to suggest next. It looks like a Registry problem to me but which key is causing it I am unsure. I will post back if I can find anything to add. Quote There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !! Guitarman Posted September 6, 2014 Author Posted September 6, 2014 Don't worry Ken I am too! I'm just going to live with it and hope that in the future I stumble across a fix or it is automatically sorted in the form of an update! To be honest it isn't worth restoring my computer for so I'm just going to wait and see and if it isn't sorted in a few months maybe I'll consider resetting and reinstalling windows but right now its just not worth it! Thank you all so much for your help and support I can't thank you enough! Quote
Ray1000 Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 Out of interest ... While I thought only programs loaded on C: would show on the Add/Remove list I have just tested the theory and I was wrong. I have two HDs in my desktop ... C: and F: ... just loaded Autoroute from a CD onto drive F: and it instantly came up on the Add/Remove list. Ray Quote
Guitarman Posted September 6, 2014 Author Posted September 6, 2014 Thanks Ray yeah because my brother has the same setup as me and it works fine for him! I'm just gunna attempt to forget about it now and hopefully it will sort itself out because I just can't be doing with it! Quote
seedy21 Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 Add and Remove Programs List is under the following:- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall I believe CCleaner queries :- HKCU\Software HKLM\Software I'm afriad it may not fix your problem knowing this information. I would personnally do a System restore back to when the machine was working fine. Turn off all Updates from everything but Anti-virus software and try and run the machine for a couple of days and see what happen's. Have you had any issues with Speed with your SSD?
