Hi, I am trying to upgrade my system but i am stuck. Firstly, I am trying to play 2 games at once (Runescape at minimum graphics and Landmark) i can currently do this with a slight lag with medium graphics on Landmark. However i would like to play it on its highest settings (Runescape is always on the least). Im not sure if i upgrade my cpu or my graphics card or just upgrade my whole system.

My current system is:

Windows 7 Home Premium

Intel i3 2120 3.30

8gb ram

HD 6670

800gb hdd (500 +300)

Hiper Type R 480w PSU (not sure if it matters)

Thanks.

Hi

I have checked your system specs against those needed for Runescape.

You should be able to play this on medium settings easily.

I think your problem lies with the fact that you are playing 2 games at once.

This will drain the processing power with the CPU / RAM and Video Card.

Your PSU [ 480 Watts ] is fine for the Video Card etc that you have.

Hi,

I am not a gamer and find it difficult to advise re: your last question.

I THINK ...you will need at least an i5 processor.

Your present CPU has a FCLGA 1155 socket.

If you were upgrading using the same motherboard you would need to make sure that any CPU has the same socket. [ pin arrangement ]

Regarding CPUs - your present one is just 2 core.

The more cores ( generally ) the better regarding processing speed.

You will need a much better Video Card - this will come with a more powerful PSU

8GB RAM should be OK

If you registered on a gaming site the guys there would be able to give you far more informed advice.

I hope this helps a little ?
