melpear Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 I am having problems with my two year old Canon IP4950printer, I switched the printer off in the normal way & when I tried toswitch is on later nothing happened & the green power light did notilluminate. I have done the usual checks without success & have checkedonline & it appears this is quite a common fault. Does anyone have anyknowledge of this problem & how to fix it ? Quote
Plastic Nev Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 My first thoughts are the power lead itself considering there is no power on light lit. If a UK style plug with a fuse, check the fuse and if not a moulded on plug, check connections inside it. Also check that the power lead is correctly pushed in at the printer. Other wise it may be a power issue inside the printer. Nev. Quote Need help with your computer problems? Then why not join Free PC Help. DSTM Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 I have a IP4950 and this happened to me once. I pulled the cables from the printer, rerun the install Disk again.(Drivers) When it asks you to connect the printer, I did and Windows recognized the printer again. Worked well ever since. Prob a power surge or something upset my printer. Give that a go and let us know how you fare. Quote Confidence, is the feeling I get, moments before I stuff something up.
