monkeyboyo Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Hi, thanks in anticipation of any help with following - Unable to connect to wi-fi network. My security settings low, pop-up blockers off. Nobody else reportings problems. I have never been able to connect this laptop, to this particular network since new, 6 months ago, yet never problem elswhere. “Council Library Wifi” did not allow a connection from this computer. “Llimited connection”, so no IP address assigned ?. No tech help, and router is remote. Any advice on a next step? Let me know how you get on. Do you have Obtain IP Address and DNS Settings set to "Automatic" ? Discussion with colleagues for all Edinburgh libraries conclude the problem is Win 8. Previous reports, but not many as no system in place to capture feedback.
