Osprey Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 I have a D-LINK 323 NAS drive 2 Bay but no RAID configured. Networked to my W7 64 bit PC I accidental deleted a couple of files this morning ......... (no activity since to minimise overwrite) Are there any utilities to allow me to undelete these files ? I tried usual (i.e 360 undelete) but they do not see networked drives. Quote
KenB Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 Hi Osprey Not sure if EaseUs will see a networked drive - but worth a go ... click here It will allow up to 2GB free - if the files are less than that then you are home and dry .....assuming it can see them :) Quote There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !! Osprey Posted October 7, 2014 Author Posted October 7, 2014 2GB would have been more than enough ... but just tried it and it does not see the mapped drives. Quote
Osprey Posted October 7, 2014 Author Posted October 7, 2014 I took HDD out of NAS and plugged into PC ... Windows does not see it. I downloaded a copy of DiskInternal Linux Reader ... that then allows HDD to be seen, and all its folders .. BUT won't allow you to add, move or copy anything ..... no doubt as they wish to sell you DiskInternals Uneraser. I looked at properties when it was 'loaded' and it says file system is "Linux Ext" Anybody know of a Linux Ext file recovery program that will run on Windows Quote
