I feel I am one of 'The Children of the damned'

My latest problem is I just went to You Tube to play a tune or two to cheer myself up after my email problems and now I have no sound!!!

I have done the obvious (make sure the speakers are live from the PC and no loose connections)

Can anyone help as I havent a clue!

Ray

Well a feather in my own cap! I have solved it! In Control PaneL 'Sounds and audio devices' it was set on mute! It was working last time Iused You Tube I didnt do it! What is going on?

Anyway I unchecked 'mute' and all is well.

Can this happen or is something sinister afoot?

Hi Ray, considering the different things you have already tried to get the E Mail working, it is possible that an unusual off shoot might have done the damage, one of the many odd bugs that XP always seemed to have.

As usual, run your AV scans, if nothing found don't worry unless something else goes daft.
