joddle Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 I have a Surface RT - I have been browsing a site but I know one page on it has changed but my Surface wont update the page - it always shows the old page. I have used the refresh key but to no avail. The page is fine on all other PCs and my ipad but on the surface it still shows the old page. I have deleted all history etc and rebooted but it stubbornly won't refresh. How can I force it to refresh a page? Quote
Ray1000 Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Hi Joddle In Control Panel > Internet Options > Browsing History > Settings > which box is ticked under "Check for newer versions of stored pages"? You may have it on "Never" ... mine's on "Automatic" Ray Quote

You may have it on "Never" ... mine's on "Automatic" Ray5 Mine is also on automatic - I even tried other settings but no luck. Strange thing is I managed to force a refresh with Control F5 when using IE from the desktop and it updated the page fine but when I use the Google app or IE from the apps page and view the same page it is not updated! Ray1000 Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 In that case does the Google and IE app have a similar settings page that might want adjusting? Ray Quote
