If your other monitor is perfectly OK on the same computer, it has to be a fault on the monitor itself, possibly the actual screen itself, which is possibly signs of the screen being hit with something. Probably not salvageable, but would need a technician with the right tools to be sure George. Some screens can be replaced at reasonable cost, so worth looking into it at least and asking for quotes.
