Hi,

the touch screen is the off putting thing about it and does add to the price. If you bought it I feel you would soon revert back to mouse and keyboard as the touch screen technology isn't that accurate in control, and does make your arms ache after some time of using it.

See if you can find one without touch screen but similar specifications as otherwise for your intended use the rest of it isn't too bad, though personally I would like to see a processor speed a bit higher than the 1.7GHz.

Right OK, thanks for that I will pass on this one, I didnt realise it was a touch screen model - I DONT want one of those!! - HATE those touch screen things!! ipads and the like!! HORRIBLE! I always use a seperate mouse and keyboard anyway with a laptop as I never move them but have them as a "desk" model. What would you recommend as a good laptop up to about 400 quid? I am away on sunday so glad I didnt buy this one off Tesco! I just need to replace this terribly slow windows XP one, thanks LAPTOPDUNCE

PS, just looked again at this laptop, and its not a touch screen according to the spec, it does say"multi gesture touch pad" but I think that is the mouse pad on the laptop itself, if you pull down the spec tab it has an "N" for no for a touch screen, and says the screen is an LCD one, Have I understood this right?
