Hello. I'm hoping to get some help with this problem I'm having with my Dell Inspiron 1520. I have searched for an answer but nothing so far.

I log into my computer and open IE and I get 'Cannot Connect to the Proxy Server'. (I do not want to connect to the Proxy Server) I go into 'tools' then 'Internet Options' 'Connections' then 'LAN Settings' and uncheck the check mark from "Use a Proxy Server for your LAN' I select close and then apply.

That helps for the moment but when I log into my computer the next time the same thing happens over and over again. What else can I do to permanently correct this issue? Any help is greatly appreciated. (running Windows 7 and not sure which version of IE)

Hello and welcome.

Go in to internet options again and click automatically detect settings, click apply, close IE,lets see if that works for you.
