Hi all it's me again!

Having upgraded to Win 8 and using a new machine (HP Envy 3 in 1)

I have a problem trying to send attachments which was never a problem with my old XP machine and Skyyahoo email

I will try to explain although daunting to explain exactly what happens.. Here goes---

I open sky yahoo email, restore down click compose.

attach files

I Click on attach files and window showing my 'my documents' opens showing me all my documents.

I then drag the relevant doc over onto one of the several attach files berths

I then attempt to drop the file onto it but the file then sinks to bottom of the screen.

If Itry again same thing happens so in end I have multiple files at bottom of the 'compose' window.

When I try different things a seperate window ''user downloads' appears showing all the files that dropped to the bottom of the 'compose' screen.

If I try to repeat drag files over to send attachments the User dowload screen just flashes and i cant get past it.

All very annoying! http://extremetechsupport.com/images/icons/icon8.png

Second question this time regarding Gmail which out of desparation I'm using to send the attachments (no problems there) but all my 'contacts are stored in the Sky Yahoo account. So question is can I transfer my stored contacts to the Gmail account either en block or if not and I have to do it all one at a time where on Gmail is the 'store contacts' button/link?

Hope someone can translate this gobbldygoop!

Thanks Ray

Hi Ray

I don't use Sky or Yahoo Mail so I will be of little or no help with that.

With Gmail you can import contacts.

This is from the "Import" box that pops up :

We support importing CSV files from Outlook, Outlook Express, Yahoo! Mail, Hotmail, Eudora and some other apps. We also support importing vCard from apps like Apple Address Book

You need to save or export your address book [ Yahoo ] and save as CSV file format.

Then open the Gmail account.

On the left hand side ( top ) there is a red Gmail .........click the down arrow next to this.

Click on Contacts > Import contacts

Browse to the CSV file that you created and import.

Hopefully this will, at least, answer this part of your question

There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !!
