Hi George,

Yes it is and there will be a number of options ... 30 metres of Ethernet cable and a secondary router acting as a slave or a pair of adaptors that use the mains wiring to convey the signal to the "shed"

Just to add to Rays advice, in other words I doubt you would get anything like a good signal inside the shed if at all, without giving it some help and Ray's suggestions are about the best.

Depending on how you get mains electricity to the shed, either underground or overhead, or even just fixed to a wall or fence, if using an Ethernet cable it can be fixed alongside. If using the mains cable itself via the adapters then one inside the house on the same circuit as the shed to transfer the data signal to the mains cable, and the other adapter inside the shed connected via a socket or dedicated spur unit.

The electrician fitting the wiring will hopefully know what is required if using mains circuit adapters.

Hi

As Nev and Ray have advised ..... you need something like this.

One is plugged in by your router .....the other in the "shed"

It uses the mains cable to transmit data.

I have one that is both wireless and ethernet cable compatible.

There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !!

if you cannot run an ethernet cable then they are the best option.

I use mine in the house. When the normal wifi signal is down to 3 bars the extended signal is always 5 bars.

Wireless or cable.

You may get some dropping off of signal ..... it depends how far away the "shed" is.

I would suggest an ethernet cable at the "Shed" end.

Read reviews and see what users say.

Ken what exactly do you mean by ethernet at the shed end please

An ethernet cable [ RJ45 ] is the blue or yellow cable that you use to connect your computer to the router.

In this case you would use it to connect from your extender to your computer.

The extender would need to be plugged into a socket in the "Shed".

Some are wireless AND cable compatible.

I think you would get a better connection using the cable, however, you could try it wireless and see what it is like if this is more convenient.

My wireless connection is always 5 bars.
