I've had my desktop for 3 years now and the PSU is very much on it's way out as its starting to make hum/light vibrating sounds, I've had to lay the desktop tower on it's side to stop the hum/light vibrating sounds.

From looking inside the pc the PSU is a FSP Group INC FSP450-60APN so could anymore recommend a replacement for me preferably from Ebuyer so I can get next day delivery and not too expensive thank you.

Just to add to Ray's post, don't be tempted into buying cheap, just to save money, the cheapo's don't last and when they fail they can do so spectacularly, and quite often damage the motherboard or other components.

After all, the PSU is the most important part, without it the computer is dead.

Some good names to look out for are Seasonic, Antec, and XFX.

Corsair may be a big name, however they are only a go between and just put their name on anything which could be built anywhere by anybody on the dirt cheap, or maybe not, you never know with them, so I wouldn't use one of theirs.

As Ray said, the FSP one you have is rated at 450watts, you must replace with one rated the same or higher.

I have as many brand name PSU's fail as chinese cheapies.

They all have warranty.

I have chinese cheapie PSU's still pulling good 12v rail figures after 4 yrs use.

Had one Brand name 650w PSU two weeks ago that failed straight out of the box.

Just luck of the draw.

Seasonic PSU's are excellent under 500watt. Hi end wattage Seasonic's a bit iffy.

Confidence, is the feeling I get, moments before I stuff something up.
