gazgee Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 Hi, I running a HP 15 TS Notebook on windows 8.1 64 bit. For weeks my screen has shrunk. It has a black border of about 1.5cm all the way around. I have been researching it and can not find a fix. Resolution is 1366 x 768 and it says it's recommended. I have tried all the setting to no avail. I have not had the laptop long and it's really winding me up. Please help if you can TIA Quote
DSTM Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 (edited) Hi. I had that same issue and res change didn't fix it. I updated the graphics drivers and that fixed it. You could even try rolling back the graphics drivers via Device Manager. Worth a try. Edited February 28, 2015 by DSTM Quote Confidence, is the feeling I get, moments before I stuff something up.
gazgee Posted February 28, 2015 Author Posted February 28, 2015 Trying that now, will see if it works. Thanks :) Quote

Plastic Nev Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 Hi, have you tried a system restore back to a time before it went wrong? It may be due to a Windows update as I recently got an updated driver for my system, which first of all didn't install though it wiped the original driver, so I then had to search for a new driver. That worked but my N.Videa control panel vanished, so I still have to try a system restore myself. Nev. Quote Need help with your computer problems? Then why not join Free PC Help. Register here. KenB Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 To try what Nev has suggested: Windows Key ( hold down ) and press "S" Type in .....restore ... Hit "Create a Restore Point" Click on "System Restore" select a date just before the start of your problem. Your files and photos etc will be fine.
