bob12a Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 Over the last few weeks the battery on my Nexus 10 tablet is happily working uptil it gets near to 30% it then drops to 0% immediately. Any thoughts I have looked up google but the answers a out of my league when they talk about recalibrating. KenB Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 Hi Bob I will post here - only because nobody else has :) This, as you are probably aware, is a VERY common problem. Some suggest charging it for 14+ hours ( leave it charging after it is fully charged ) or turning off "Location Services" has solved the problem. Others returned the device for repair. Thank you Ken I will try the turning off location services one. I had tried the overcharging a couple of times. I kept a very close eye on the tablet yesterday it got to 30% and ran for about another 10 mins before dropping out to 0%. RustyKnight Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 I bought my partner an Acer Iconia 720 for her birthday last September, it worked fine until February. The battery would just die almost instantly, you'd switch it on and it would show 100% and then .... dead. I got it from Tesco, when I phoned them they said it was a common problem, and replaced it with no quibble. mh2 Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 Hi Bob, I'm attaching a screenshot, with a tablet with the same issue. This problem is common in Nexus 10 and eventually you will need to return the tablet to Samsung and ask for a new one. But before that, try this: -Turn Wi-Fi completely and recharge the tablet and then see how long it will last -If it doesn't work, make a factory reset of the tablet -If it doesn't work, you will need to send the tablet to Samsung because some battery cells might be dead.
