Hi, I assume it is not showing in the normal Programs and Features to be uninstalled. I have never tried Foxit reader so don't know for sure how or where it does install, however I suggest trying the Revo uninstaller, download and install Revo from here :-

http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html

You should only need the free version. Once you have used Revo and if not wanting to keep it, it will actually uninstall itself, though most of us use it exclusively for making sure everything is uninstalled of an unwanted program.

Providing it does find Foxit reader, just double click on the entry in the list to start the process.

When presented with the choices of uninstall modes, choose the Moderate as the advanced can be a bit too vicious at removing registry entries, which might damage something else.

Alternatively......

You could always navigate to the Foxit Reader installation folder, by default it should be C:\Program Files\foxit software\Foxit Reader.

Open the Foxit Reader folder

There you should see the Uninstal.exe program, double click on it to uninstall the program.

Thank you all three of you for replying. However, i'm no further ahead - nothing will remove it or reveal to me how to remove it.

There's a safety issue, according to my security scanner, in that the old version that i have is leaky, and it must be removed before the new version can be installed. Actually i should be glad to see the back of Foxit
