Every time I open my browser this silly thing comes up and I can't stop it. Can anyone tell me how to get rid of this permanently.

Is your home page set to google.com?

I get a box like this on my IE browser (the few times I use it) and Google is set as the home page.

Try changing the home page to something else and see if it stops the box coming up.
