KenB Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 Hi Kev The minimum recommended PSU for your Graphics Card [ GTX 960 ] is 400 Watts. I would recommend that you get a 500 Watt PSU. ( or bigger if you wish ) PSUs - even the better makes - are notoriously inefficient. So a poor quality one may only supply 80% or less of what it says on the label. The better makes are more efficient - but never 100% :) Quality makes: OCZ - Corsair - Seasonic - Thermaltake - Antec ......( in no particular order ) Quote There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !! kevh Posted July 21, 2015 Author Posted July 21, 2015 Hi Ken Thanks for reply :) System only needs 335watts max but looks like i'm probably having to bite the bullet and order with the RM850 just because its reliable well built and quiet , although annoying as well over spec for my system. KenB Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 Why do you need to buy that particular PSU? Can't you get one from another supplier ? Quote There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !! MiniToolBoxNetwork TestWireless Test

KenB Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 Sorry Kev - I thought you were building it yourself :) There is a review of the CS650M here - click here It gets a good writ-up. [ There were 4 other pages - I just posted a link to the interesting bit ] If it were me I would go for this one and save a few pounds :) Remember - individuals who post a review are usually ones who have something to complain about. The happy customers tend to stay silent. Quote There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !! MiniToolBoxNetwork TestWireless Test
kevh Posted July 21, 2015 Author Posted July 21, 2015 Thanks Ken I did almost decide to go with that one from the pro reviews but there are so many bad user reviews about noise ... Seems a bit silly to try it even , but as you say could be a fw dodgy units. RM series is almost 100% positive ... Plastic Nev Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 An alternative may be to order the complete computer with the lowest spec and priced PSU the VS450. Once you have it, remove it and sell it, then buy and fit a PSU of your own choice. Just a thought and one I would be looking at if it were me. Nev. Quote Need help with your computer problems?
