Microsoft is rolling out to Windows 10 users its second cumulative rollup of fixes on this month's Patch Tuesday.

A week after delivering its first cumulative update for Windows 10, Microsoft is out with another.

This week, it's KB3081436. Last week, it was KB3081424.

Last week's Windows 10 cumulative update was focused on performance and functionality, not security. For this week's rollup, the KB page is here.

In addition to a security update for the new Edge browser in Windows 10, here's what else is included in the fixes in today's update:

  • Vulnerabilities in the .NET Framework could allow elevation of privilege
  • Unsafe command-line parameter passing could allow information disclosure
  • Vulnerability in Mount Manager could allow elevation of privilege
  • Vulnerabilities in Microsoft graphics component could allow remote code execution
  • Cumulative security update for Internet Explorer

Microsoft officials said yesterday that the company would issue a fix via Windows Update for the Store problems which have prevented a number of Windows 10 users from being able to access the Windows Store, download Windows Store app updates and use certain Windows Store apps on their systems. Users began reporting these Store/app problems at the end of last week and more and more users are saying they are being affected as time is going on.

Microsoft is planning to deliver cumulative update rollups, possibly on a weekly basis, for at least the first month of Windows 10 availability. Microsoft began rolling out Windows 10 on July 29.

In addition to delivering the new cumulative update for Windows 10, Microsoft is issuing a bunch of other fixes and updates as part of its regular Patch Tuesday.
