Yet another cumulative update for Windows 10

Microsoft has rolled out yet another cumulative update for Windows 10. No change log has been made available yet, but these cumulative updates typically include improvements to improve the functionality of Windows 10 and resolve vulnerabilities in the operating system.

 

This update is available through Windows Update and will be downloaded and installed automatically. Let the whole community know in the comments below if you notice any new improvements. We’ll publish the change log as soon as it becomes available here.

Hi Pete hope you are well.

I run Windows 8.1 and want nothing to do with Windows 10 to avoid ANY possibility of a download to Win10 messing up my PC however remote this may be (see Plastic Nev's article of 4th August)

Unlike when I had upgrade from Win 8 to Win 8.1 forced on me by Microsoft using updates, I'm told that this can't happen with Win 10 and I would be asked if I want to take Win 10 and it will not be enforced by Microsoft updates.

Can you or other experts on this forum reassure me I won't get Windows 10 dumped on me?

Hi Ray, you will not be forced into accepting and installing Windows 10 as far as we are aware. However if it is already on your system ready to install and you wish to delete it, Pete showed where to find it and remove it in his last post on this thread.

Have a read of the rest of the thread for finding the other bits and uninstalling or removing them as well.

As Nev said, No, you will not be forced to upgrade.

But don't expect M$ to give in easily.
