How to block websites?

Hi to all,

 

I tried to search forums and I couldn’t find this problem.

 

My son has been visiting usabit and some other sites like it and downloading illegal downloads .

 

I went to block it in internet options/restricted sites and I am still able to access the site.

 

Does anyone know how to block a website, thanks in advance.

Hi Jimmy,

 

Is this on your computer?

Have you set him as a standard user? ..... if so you can set the Parental Controls.

 

These settings will only apply to that particular account though.

So from your account you'll still be able to access those sites.

Thanks for your reply Starbucks,I had to wind up putting a password on my computer so he cant even get on it,another one solved ,thank you.

All Admin accounts should be password protected for security reasons.

I was going to suggest OpenDNS because you can select the type of websites you want to block!
