The phone is wifi-capable, but the the wifi is not always available. Is there a free program, as ICQ used to be, that allows a plain-text SMS sent from the phone, to be received by a PC (running Win7) at the time when there is no wifi for the phone ?

Your question has been answered on a different forum. It would be nice if asking any question on multiple forums to let everyone know you have done so, it saves helpers wasting time by giving similar answers to those you get elsewhere, and also can prevent any confusion.

So what was the solution? I didn't see the other forum and would like to find something to do the same thing.
