Hoggie Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 Good afternoon folks I hope you can help. I have windows 10 installed was okay till about 4 weeks back, stated to get the BSOD. Firstly it was only happening once every 3 days or so. Ran my antispy/malware software to look for problems never found any problems.(Avast, superantispyware, Spybot and Malwarebytes) The BSOD errors are :- Bad pool header System pte misuse Security check failure Page fault in none page area Kernel security check failure Irql not less or equal. System security exception In event viewer, it has ID41 63 System has rebooted without cleanly shutting down. Then just 3 days back I got an error atihdwt6.sys. This is when the sh** hit the fan. It would just load up and crash with this error. I decided to format my hdd with dban and install windows 7. Done this and was okay for the day, decided to install windows 10 and have had 3 BSOD in the last 2 hours or so. I hope this makes sense to you all and you can help me fix this, if you need any more info please ask. DSTM Posted December 11, 2015 Posted December 11, 2015 Hi Hoggie. Have you installed the chip set drivers. Motherboard Drivers. Uninstalled AMD audio drivers can often throw these errors. If you haven't a driver disc go to Asus and download and install all the drivers for your particular Motherboard. Quote Confidence, is the feeling I get, moments before I stuff something up.
ExTS Admin Starbuck Posted December 11, 2015 ExTS Admin Posted December 11, 2015 As DSTM says, Kernel security check failure Irql not less or equal. System pte misuse These errors are normally caused by incorrectly configured, old, or corrupted device drivers. Updating the drivers would be the first step. If it is 'old drivers' this would explain why it happens with the Win10 install.... but was ok with the Win7. Quote Member of:UNITE
