Download Speccy from here - the FREE version.

https://www.piriform.com/speccy/download

Install and run it.

Read each of the installation pages - sometimes there are additional installs that you do not want - if there are any just uncheck the boxes.

 

After it scans your system click on CPU

It may tell you here.

If not - post what it does say and we may be able to get further information for you :)

There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !!

If I can just add to Kens advice....

 

sometimes there are additional installs that you do not want - if there are any just uncheck the boxes.

The only thing I found that was additional, was CCleaner. ( this is another product from Piriform)

It is a good program, but you don't really need it.

Just tick the 'No Thanks' before clicking on 'Next'.

 

After it scans your system click on CPU

The main page will open to the 'Summary'

The CPU you need to click is on the left hand side.

On my system it says how many 'cores' near the top of the list.
