virus(?) in my w7 downloads

how do i delete what seems to be a virus or something similar that is popping up on my browser pages (google chrome) and is now taking up massive space in my downloads.

when i've tried to manually delete the things they come back into the downloads list even more rapidly.

What do you mean by 'taking up massive space' .... how much space?
