A Bit Annoyed Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 Hi, My daughter's phone is constantly giving a message saying there is insufficient internal storage. She has moved what she can to the SD card and is trying to back up all her phone files to the PC, although it keeps saying there was an error during back up. This has started since an update to the operating system. Has anyone got any advice on how to go about freeing up space or going back to the previous OS without causing too much damage?? Thanks in advance Quote
ExTS Admin Starbuck Posted September 6, 2016 ExTS Admin Posted September 6, 2016 Hi there, Sorry for the delay... I've been away for a few days. This is a very common problem with that particular phone. Basically Sony messed up when it gave it only 8GB of internal memory...but its firmware, pre-installed applications and the Android OS take up the vast majority of that space. Consequently, you have just 1.26 GB of storage space actually available to you. Also, You need to have 500MB+the app's size free to install/update an app. ... it's a Sony thing. How much free internal memory do you have? .... settings >> storage > Also if there are any apps that are not used, disable them. (a lot of the apps can't be removed) Remove all the updates for any app you want to disable and then disable it. Settings >> Applications >> ALL Quote Member of:UNITE
