Need suggestion on windows 8 password recovery

my cousin changed the login password of my family sharing computer and he can't remember it for now. it is with windows 8. anyway to get the computer unlocked without reinstallation?

To change the password your cousin must have had admin privileges.

To change the password on a computer that does not belong to you is, frankly, irresponsible.

Your cousin will need to try to remember what they changed it to.

Remember - passwords are case sensitive.
