When I boot up Windows XP, it will randomly BSOD to the stop error mentioned in the title. All of this happened after I switched to classic theme, installed Fire-fox, and removed some McAfee files. My computer is an HP Compaq DC5800 Small Form Factor with a Pentium Dual Core E5200, and Windows XP Pro SP2, factory downgraded from Windows Vista Business.

Full Error:

STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error}

The Windows SubSystem process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc0000005 (0x75e9ad23 0x0052f240).

The system has been shut down.

Hi,

You didn't reply here - http://extremetechsupport.com/threads/17434-Search-Can-t-Find-Any-Files-In-Windows-Explorer?p=114602#post114602

Try Last Known Good Configuration

Constantly tap F8 about once per second after switching on.

You will be taken to the Advanced Startup Options

If still a problem:

Try a System Restore to a date just before your problem started.

click here

Your files, photos etc will be fine.

You will lose any software installed after the selected date and registry changes after this date too.

If still a problem:

Faulty RAM can cause errors like this one.

If you can access the RAM modules [ assuming two ] try taking one out and boot up off the other.

Swap the modules over if there is no difference.

There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !!
