joddle Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 I am having an issue with Edge - it seems always to change the colours on PDF files. This has been happening ever since I upgraded my PCs to W10 and happens on all my computers In Acrobat or Reader the files always look fine but in Edge colours are changed radically. Please look at the sample here - on the left is the image as seen using Edge - i.e. colours very yellowish and not correct - and on the right is the image seen from either Acrobat or reader - i.e. unaffected and as it should be. So why does Edge do that? and can it be tweaked so it does not? Quote
ExTS Admin Starbuck Posted February 16, 2017 ExTS Admin Posted February 16, 2017 Hi Joddle, I do know that originally the new Edge browser did not have any support for ActiveX plug-ins. Therefore, Acrobat/Reader plug-in's didn't work with Edge. Seems that Edge still has limitations with Pdf files. Most users prefer to not use Edge when opening Pdf files for this reason. This link Here should explain things a bit better. Quote Member of:UNITE

Surly though MS should be able to get a decent rendition of a PDF in Edge!!! Quote
ExTS Admin Starbuck Posted February 17, 2017 ExTS Admin Posted February 17, 2017 Surly though MS should be able to get a decent rendition of a PDF in Edge!!! You would have thought so .... but sadly not. M$ just seem very slow in developing Edge. More annoyingly, what Edge doesn't have is any other tools for working with PDFs. You can't highlight text, add comments or fill in forms, so if you're used to using the Adobe Acrobat plugin in Explorer or the Microsoft Reader app in Windows 8.1, the PDF support in Edge feels rather minimal. Oddly, you can't use the annotation feature in Edge with PDF files, even though they load as if they're web pages. When you select the pen icon in the toolbar to make a Web Note, you just get an error message. How to work with PDFs in Windows 10 Quote Member of:UNITE
