jimmyedwards Posted June 27, 2017 Posted June 27, 2017 I had my tablet repaired and I have gotten it back like it was before except for one problem. I had a banking app installed before and it is installed now but I cant open it. The tablet says it isn’t compatible with this version but it is installed. When I look for it in Google play store it is not there to download. My tablet is a Asus 8 Zen pad version po 22 play store is version 5.2.12. I have done all the clear data and cache for play store and Google play services . Thanks for any help in advance. Quote

jimmyedwards Posted June 28, 2017 Author Posted June 28, 2017 The app is Summit credit union in Greensboro NC,it is on my android phone but it doesn't show on the tablet.It also has a message about Asus and no carrier.I have done all the clear cache and data etc. Quote

The app is shown on my tablet as installed but I cant find it in settings>apps I have the banks website on the homepage but I cant get to the page for doing any mobile actions like bill pay etc. Quote

This normally means that Google cannot retrieve the carrier info from your device. Some possible causes for this are: The SIM card is not inserted, or inserted incorrectly/broken (can't use telephony feature) The SIM card is inserted correctly, but Google cannot identify it (e.g. an issue with Republic Wireless) The device doesn't have SIM card slot (e.g. tablet) But I doubt that your Tablet has a sim card slot anyway. As far as I know, the text "No carrier" is only an informational text to identify which device you are choosing, and it's not an error message. Regarding app installation, it may/may not affect the installation. Some apps are restricted to certain carriers. I take it that this app worked on the Tablet before being sent to be fixed. So what work did they do? The android version is 5.0.2 and the model number is PO22. If this app works on the phone but not the Tablet .... what Android version is the phone running? jimmyedwards Posted July 2, 2017 Author Posted July 2, 2017 My phone and tablet are now both running 7.9.80,I had sat on my tablet and the screen looked cracked on the inside. It was like that from the bottom to the top and I couldn't turn it or anything. They replaced the screen and the LCD I am sure,yes the app worked before. When I google download the credit union app it shows it but when I click on it it shows item not found try again. Quote
