adam3822 Posted November 29, 2017 Posted November 29, 2017 Any ideas what the fault could be: HP 15-ac151sa When turned on you can hear the fan spin etc but it does not appear to boot, screen stays blank and the caps lock key continually flashes. Quote
KenB Posted November 29, 2017 Posted November 29, 2017 Hi, Try taking the battery out. Use the mains connection and try to boot up on this alone. If this doesn't work try taking the RAM out and - if there are two modules - replace just one. Try booting up. No go? Swap the modules over. adam3822 Posted November 30, 2017 Author Posted November 30, 2017 Hi Ken Have tried all of the above I’m afraid. Unit only has one stick of RAM is it possible that this is faulty and causing the issue? Quote

Do you have a similar module in another machine to try ? You could give a local tech a call and ask if he has a spare that you can try to confirm your suspicion.
