Starting today, whenever I open my email account I am asked to sign in even when I have ticked the keep me signed in box.

Some setting has changed but have no idea where to look.

Help appreciated.

Hi,

Is it only Hotmail where this happens or is it on other sites that need a login ?

Do you have Cookies set to be deleted every time you shut down ?

Have you tried a different browser ?

just tried Hotmail via Edge instead of Google and that is fine.

Google browser ??

It sounds like a corrupt cookie in your usual browser.

I am assuming that this is Chrome.

  1. Open Chrome.
  2. At the top right, click More Settings.
  3. At the bottom, click Advanced.
  4. Under "Privacy and security," click Content settings.
  5. Click Cookies.
  6. Under "All cookies and site data," search for Hotmail.
  7. To the right of the site, click Remove

When you login again the cookie will be replaced.

If you are not using Chrome please clarify which is you usual browser.

Hi,

Login to Hotmail as normal.

Make sure the "Remember Me" is checked.

Logout.

Then shut down and re-boot.

Use the instructions above to check to see if the Hotmail Cookie is in the folder.

Is it ?

Do you still need to login ?

Go to the Search box [bottom left of screen] and type in ..... services ...hit Enter

Scroll down to "Microsoft Account Sign in Assistant"

Is this service started ?
