bj43cj47 Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 (edited) Hello all. I have posted a problem in the Windows 8 forum under the above title & have been advised to share it on this forum for more expert advice & to read the replies so far. I'd really appreciate it if you'd take a look. I tried to copy & paste my question, but couldn't copy the screen shot that explains the problem. Thanks in anticipation. Can anyone explain why I'm suddenly getting this page (screenshot below) whenever I visit Google? No matter how many images I select for the "I'm not a robot" they just keep coming, more & more squares to tick. Recently I got an email saying my Google account was verified & my password was ........................... I don't recall asking for an account? Although I do have a password very similar to the one Google sent me that I use elsewhere, but with one symbol different? Weird, but I just want to get rid of this robot wotsit thingy. And I've just noticed above my user name, a flag of France. Cheek! I'm Lancashire through & through. Edited July 6, 2018 by Starbuck Quote
ExTS Admin Starbuck Posted July 7, 2018 ExTS Admin Posted July 7, 2018 Hi bj, Sorry about the holdup, glitch is all sorted now. Let's have a good look at the system and see if anything obvious gets thrown up. Note: There are both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Farbar Recovery Scan Tool available. Please pick the version that matches your operating system's bit type. If you are unsure what you're system bit type is..... click Here for help. For x32 bit systems download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop. For x64 bit systems download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool x64 and save it to your Desktop. Double-click the downloaded icon to run the tool. Vista/Windows 7/8/10 users right-click and select Run As Administrator When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer. Make sure that Addition.txt is selected at the bottom Press Scan button. It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please copy and paste it to your reply. When the tool is run, it also makes another log (Addition.txt)..... Please copy and paste it to your reply also. Thanks Quote Member of:UNITE
