chenzao Posted October 31, 2018 Posted October 31, 2018 Hello, I want an alternative for MS Office for Windows. Preferably a free alternative. I don't wanna spend hundreds of dollars for MS office since I only use word and powerpoint. I want an almost exact same alternative and compatible with Windows.
KenB Posted October 31, 2018 Posted October 31, 2018 Hi and welcome to ExTS You need to give Open Office a try. ..........Click Here Looks similar to M$ Office - is compatible with M$ Office - is totally free - and no nag screens either. Open Office will open M$ Word documents, however, if you want to save your Open Office [ free ] documents to be opened by M$ Word you will need to select "Word 97" from "Save as Type" when saving your document. I have used this for years. There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !! MiniToolBoxNetwork TestWireless Test
Rustys Posted October 31, 2018 Posted October 31, 2018 You can also use LibreOffice for the same reasons that @KenB has stated. 2 "Confucius could give answer to that. Unfortunately, Confucius not here at moment.”
RustyKnight Posted November 1, 2018 Posted November 1, 2018 I'd say LibreOffice as well. [Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Ubuntu MATE, Linux Mint, Chromebook] [several Raspberry Pi running various versions of Raspbian]
lkjk Posted November 7, 2018 Posted November 7, 2018 +1 for LibreOffice, however OpenOffice is a good choice as well.
chenzao Posted December 7, 2018 Author Posted December 7, 2018 Thank you. I tried Libre Office and it was really good! 1
