gavinwsmith77 Posted December 10, 2018 Author Posted December 10, 2018 (edited) Thanks very much. I do appreciate it. I’ve looked and can’t find it either :-( But do you think it could possibly be okay? I mean it’s the right DDR4 & 1.2v recommenced is 1.35 or below. I hope it is. I’m trying to contact the shop I bought it from! Maybe they can say if it is or isn’t! Thanks again KenB -edit- Ebuyer where I purchased it from say they think it will be okay! They asked if the memory matched ie DDR4 etc etc... which it does! They say maybe they just hadn’t tried this particular ram with my mobo. I recon he’s right!? KenB Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 Hi Gavin It could be OK. The RAM that you have is DDR4 The voltage is correct [ 1.2v ] The M-Board is compatible with 2400 The Timing - 16-16-16 .........seems to be compatible too There is nothing in the RAM specs which is a cause for concern. The guy from eBuyer may be right. It is up to you if you want to give it a try. Quote There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !! gavinwsmith77 Posted December 10, 2018 Author Posted December 10, 2018 I’ll gamble and keep it Ithink Ken. But...What’s the worst possible thing that could happen to my buildif it wasn’t compatible? (Don’t want to melt my cpu or anything as such) ☺️ Quote
KenB Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 I would think that ...... worst case - your machine would run slow. [ unlikely ] The RAM looks compatible so you should not do any damage. It wouldn’t load windows 10 64bit...Anyway to get to the point I bough. New usb drive and put windows 10 64bit on it using the windows creation tool. All is well today hehe... it’s running fine! Just thought that you should know as you were all kind enough to help me! Means a lot! 👍 EDIT; ps The memory is fine and I even put 16GB into my new build now...Cheers! 😇👌🤓 Edited April 27, 2019 by gavinwsmith77 Quote
