[Solved] Are these componants comparable ?

Please can anyone confirm for me that my motherboard and memory are compatable?

Mobi - ASUS Z370-P

Memory - Crucial Ballistix Sport White 1.2v 8GB (2x4g) BLS2C4G4D240FSC

The Memory you quoted is DDR4 2400 [ BLS2C4G4D240FSC ]

Looking at the QVL your chosen memory is not listed - I only had a quick look

Thanks very much. I do appreciate it. I’ve looked and can’t find it either :-(

But do you think it could possibly be okay? I mean it’s the right DDR4 & 1.2v recommenced is 1.35 or below. I hope it is. I’m trying to contact the shop I bought it from! Maybe they can say if it is or isn’t!

-edit- Ebuyer where I purchased it from say they think it will be okay! They asked if the memory matched ie DDR4 etc etc... which it does! They say maybe they just hadn’t tried this particular ram with my mobo.

I recon he’s right!?

It could be OK.

The RAM that you have is DDR4

The voltage is correct [ 1.2v ]

The M-Board is compatible with 2400

The Timing - 16-16-16 .........seems to be compatible too

 

There is nothing in the RAM specs which is a cause for concern.

The guy from eBuyer may be right.

It is up to you if you want to give it a try.

But...What’s the worst possible thing that could happen to my buildif it wasn’t compatible?

I would think that ...... worst case - your machine would run slow. [ unlikely ]

The RAM looks compatible so you should not do any damage.

Good afternoon.

I would just like to update you as to this problem I had. Well it was the thumb drive I bought. It wouldn’t load windows 10 64bit...Anyway to get to the point I bough. New usb drive and put windows 10 64bit on it using the windows creation tool. All is well today hehe... it’s running fine! Just thought that you should know as you were all kind enough to help me! Means a lot! 👍

EDIT; ps The memory is fine and I even put 16GB into my new build now...Cheers! 😇👌🤓
