RandyL Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 Hi ylind; It might be slightly different on XP but try my ME steps. Go to your Control Panel. Click Add/Remove Programs. Click the Windows Setup tab. Make sure Accessories is checked. Click to highlight Acessories. Click Details. Check Imaging. Click OK. Click OK. You might need to restart your computer. You might need a recovery/restore or install disk. Probably not though. An XIF file type is most likely related to Scansoft products. I use them myself. As such Imaging may still be installed. But the program to open them may have been changed. Try right clicking a file and choose an open with option. Make sure Always Open With is not checked until your sure. See if Imaging is an option. Just a few guesses but worth a try. I hope this will lead you in the right direction. RandyL Quote We are all members helping other members.
