Greenveg Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 Hi, When I normally copy and paste a https address in Windows Live mail 2012, it appears in blue, and the recipient can click on it and open the link. I have tried to send a link and the colour is in black and white and a smaller font. I sent the email to myself to test it, and when you click on the link, nothing happens. I am running Windows 7. KenB Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 Hi, How are you copying and pasting ? Highlight then CTRL + C / CTRL + V or Highlight then right click > Copy / right click > Paste. Try the one that you don't normally use. Is it in Chrome that the problem arises ? Do you have a different browser to try? If this is a recent problem - have you tried System Restore to a date just prior to the start of the issue ? I have been doing a bit of reading on this and, whilst it is a common problem, the answers are few and far between. Rustys Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 Try testing with smaller links like freepchelp.uk to see if it replicates. If you are missing part of the link it can cause this issue as well. It took me a while to figure that out myself. You also might want to check and make sure that the email client is configured to block links form being clicked on. If you were to highlight the link that you sent to yourself and pasted it into the browser does it open correctly? Quote "Confucius could give answer to that. Unfortunately, Confucius not here at moment.”
