mij Posted April 4, 2020 Posted April 4, 2020 Pretty much as the heading above. I am so used to W7 that the lap-top with W10 has me stymied. What do I do to get them on the desk-top of the lap-top? If I download them they disappear. Jim. Quote
Rustys Posted April 5, 2020 Posted April 5, 2020 Where are you looking for the downloaded files? Quote "Confucius could give answer to that. Unfortunately, Confucius not here at moment.”
KenB Posted April 6, 2020 Posted April 6, 2020 (edited) Hi Jim If you have downloaded them then they should be showing in the "Downloads" folder. Click on this icon - bottom of the Desktop page Downloads should be on the left hand side. ====================== If you download software - like a browser for instance - then keep an eye on the bottom left of the screen. It will show there with an option for what you want to do with it. If you click on it you should see this: "Open " will open just that file. "Show in Folder" will give you the location of the file - usually "Downloads" Edited April 6, 2020 by KenB Quote There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !! mij Posted April 7, 2020 Author Posted April 7, 2020 Thanks Rustys and KenB for coming back to my post. I usually go to their home site. That way I avoid the add-on's. Its as if W10 avoids allowing Brave or DuckDuckGo being downloaded. I have chosen download as the folder to accept programs off the 'net but obviously I am not down-loading. I must be doing something wrong. Jim. Quote

mij Posted April 11, 2020 Author Posted April 11, 2020 I think the fact that DDG is unobtainabe at the moment is something to do with it :). Sorry about that. Jim. Quote
