Forgotten password in Internet Explorer

Hi to all, I got a new cellphone and I forgot to get my login info for Facebook and my other yahoo mail account. Now I cant access either of those on the new phone. Is there a recovery tool I could use to logon to them? I cant even get to them on the desktop , I didn't use the auto fill in feature. I have tried a lot of things but none are working for me. I can get this website

If you try accessing F-B by your new phone you should e able to use your email address and password [ which you don't know ]

Attempt a login [ use any password ]

F-B will obviously reject the login.

You should be able to request a CODE to be sent to your email or text to your phone.

You can use this to log in and create a new password.

 

I don't understand why you can't access F-B or your email on the desktop.

If nothing had changed surely you would go straight through to the site ?

Or did you log in each time ?

Thanks for your reply, could the problem be because I used Internet Explorer and didn't use the auto fill in. I can find other passwords that I used auto fill in for.

You usually get an option for Windows to remember passwords as you sign in.

If you selected "no" then you have to type in the password each time.

 

You haven't said if you had any success with Yahoo Mail or Face Book.

I still cant get on Yahoo Mail or Facebook , I even a few password recovery downloads but because I didn't save those passwords they couldn't be found. I am tying on IE, Yahoo and Chrome even the suggestion you gave doesn't help.

I checked here and you didn't use a Yahoo email to register with us.

The Facebook and Yahoo account I cant access are ++++++@yahoo and same on Facebook. The problem is I got a new phone and they wouldn't port my old number , I don't remember the password to either account. I don't have access to the old phone number and I cant get them to send a reset link to my new number. Edited October 28, 2020 by KenB

I assume that is your old phone which you don't have?

 

The only other option I can think of is to sign up for a "Support Package"

This is $4.99 / month BUT you may be able to cancel after you have gained access to your account again.

If you give them a call you can find out if you are "tied in" for a set period.

 

It may be worth looking at.

 

Once you have your email account again you can get an access code from F-B sent to it.
